Pull request command and interaction reference

Qodo can be triggered and guided from a Pull Request (PR) in two ways. Enter a slash command, or interact with it directly, using plain language or the buttons and checkboxes it adds to the pull request. This page lists both, with links to the page that covers each in detail. Commands and interactions work on all supported Git providers unless a provider badge says otherwise.

Slash commands

Enter slash commands directly in a pull request comment.

`/agentic_review`	Primary review workflow	Runs the main Qodo review experience, generating prioritized findings and suggested fixes. Accepts `--review_agent.issues_user_guidelines`, `--review_agent.compliance_user_guidelines`, and `--review_agent.smart_router_extra_instructions` as parameters. See Extra instructions.
`/agentic_describe`	PR summarization	Generates a structured summary of the pull request.
`/ask`	PR-specific questions	Answers questions about the pull request and its code changes.
`/generate_labels` GitHub GitLab Gerrit	PR categorization	Suggests labels based on code changes (hashtags on Gerrit).
`/checks` GitHub	CI troubleshooting	Analyzes CI failures and surfaces useful debugging context.

Natural language and native actions

For the following actions, no command is needed. Qodo responds to plain language, or you use a button or checkbox it adds to the pull request.

Mentioning `@qodo` (or `qodo`, `/qodo`)	Starts a conversation. Ask Qodo to explain a finding, discuss a suggestion, or push back, in natural language.	Chat with Qodo
Asking a question without mentioning Qodo GitHub GitLab	Qodo detects a question written in a PR comment and answers it, without requiring `@qodo` or `/ask`.	Auto-detected questions
Telling Qodo a finding doesn’t apply	Qodo dismisses the finding as False positive, Rejected, Deferred, or Intentional, and updates the summary comment, review thread, and inline comment accordingly.	Chat with Qodo
Telling Qodo a rule or relationship is wrong	In a rule violation or cross-repo conflict thread, Qodo replies with a link to that rule or relationship in the Qodo portal, where you can update, disable, or delete it.	Chat with Qodo
Asking Qodo to fix a finding	Triggers the Remediation agent, which opens a pull request with the proposed fix.	Remediate findings in pull requests
Selecting the author self-review checkbox GitHub	Confirms the author reviewed the findings. Can be configured to add Qodo as a reviewer, allowing the PR to be merged.	Enable author self-review in pull requests
Clicking Apply Suggestion or Add suggestion to batch GitHub GitLab	Commits a Qodo-generated code fix directly to the pull request, using the Git provider’s native suggestion workflow.	Commit code fixes directly in the pull request
