The Research Preview program provides early access to features that are under active research. These features allow you to explore new capabilities, provide feedback, and help shape future improvements before broader release.

What to expect

Functionality, behavior, and user experience may change over time.
Feedback helps guide future enhancements.
Results should be reviewed and validated before use in critical workflows.
Features are removed from the Research Preview program once they advance to Beta or General Availability.
Quality of results can be low.

Research Preview features

The following features are currently available as part of the Research Preview program.

Feature	Description
Remediation Agent	Identifying an issue is only the first step. Resolving review findings often requires developers to switch context, implement changes, validate the fix, and update the pull request. As findings accumulate, these additional steps can slow down reviews and delay merges.
Spec Agents	Reviews pull requests against linked specification documents to verify that implementation matches documented requirements. It identifies missing requirements, incomplete implementations, and deviations from the intended design before code is merged.
Design review Agent	Reviews pull requests against linked Figma designs and design system components to verify that UI implementations match approved designs. It helps identify UX deviations, missing design requirements, and design system inconsistencies before code is merged.
Apply REVIEW.MD to code review	Applies repository-specific review guidelines defined in a `REVIEW.md` file during automated code review, helping review agents prioritize findings, reduce noise, and enforce your team’s engineering standards.
Review effort mode	Automatically adapts AI review effort to the risk of each code change, reducing consumption for routine updates while applying deeper analysis to high-impact code.
