# Restrict organization sign-up to invited users

> Restrict organization sign-up, allowing users to join only using admin-approved invitations.

<Note>
  This setting controls who can join your organization. It's different from **invite-only access**, which controls who receives Qodo's review feedback on pull requests.
</Note>

<Note>
  This setting is available to organization admins.
</Note>

When **Invite-only access** is enabled, only users who have been invited to the organization can register or sign in. Users who have not been invited are blocked from accessing the organization, and an access request is sent to an organization admin for approval.

## Enable or disable invite-only access

<Steps>
  <Step>
    In the Qodo portal, go to **Account Management**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Select **Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Select **Access & permissions**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Enable the **Invite-only access** toggle.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click **Save**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  This change applies instantly.
</Warning>

## Sign up with an invitation

To join an invite-only organization using an invitation:

<Steps>
  <Step>
    Open the invitation email and follow the link.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Complete sign-up with the invited email address.
  </Step>
</Steps>

For more information, see [Join Qodo via invitation](/account-management/sign-up-and-onboarding#join-qodo-via-invitation).

## Sign up without an invitation

When invite-only access is enabled and a user signs up with a company email domain but doesn't have an invitation:

<Steps>
  <Step>
    The user signs up with a company email domain but isn't automatically added to the organization.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    An access request is sent to an organization admin. The user cannot access the organization until it is approved.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    The admin approves the request and the user is invited to join.
  </Step>
</Steps>
